My three kids just got their first personal computer set today and they were happy when the delivery truck backed up to our front door, the eldest Joshua volunteered himself to unpack the boxes as I was busy receiving the delivery papers and signing them. This was an incentive for their most productive summer yet where they spent half of it to summer camp and the rest cleaning up the house most especially the garage where they gave it a much needed arrangement. Then going back to the computers, which I happened to know a thing or two, I linked the LCD monitor and CPU to the voltage regulator and turned it on. Using authentic software, everything worked perfectly nice and looked great but what caught my attention was the lightscribe label perfectly etched on the front panel of the DVD burner. This is the one specific feature I requested for a DVD burner when I placed my purchase online, aside from transferring easily our family photos into a compact disc, can also mechanically place labels on the disc. We actually had a portable laptop that also has the copying capability, but we had to use a marker pen or sticker tag to easily identify what is inside each of the discs. Though it serves the purpose of labeling, marker inks and stickers do not last that long and fade even when stored safely. So this new gadget of ours can laser-etch not only text and markings on the disc but even highlight it since it can also do full images to characteristically label each disc, with a lot of designs available online, then I can readily customize our disc. My youngest daughter Arielle’s birthday is coming up and it is just perfect to make collection music CD’s of her favorite songs and coupled with her own piano recitals as giveaways to her friends.
